Joe Contris, MA, LMHC:

 

Joe graduated with honors from St. Martin’s University, Lacey, with a Master’s degree in Community and Individual Counseling in 1991.  He has been Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 1990, with over 19 years experience in the health care field. Joe has worked with many populations including several years providing counseling for Native Americans at the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.  He has experience in providing individual, couples, family, and group treatment.  Joe’s counseling approach is varied, but first and foremost, incorporates listening closely to the client and using an established therapeutic technique that best meets the client’s needs.  He has experience in providing anger management counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy along with several other treatment modalities. Joe also provides classes on pet bereavement and stress management.

 

Joe has extensive experience in leadership and management with excellent skills in team building, creating and improving staff and client satisfaction, and implementing new and innovative programs and technologies that enhance and improve care delivery.

 

Joe is also a certified instructor for our "Impact of Divorce on Children" seminar.
