HopeSparks Counseling Staff Bio's

Maureen Peterson, MA, LMHC:

 

Received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University in 1991 and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from St. Martin’s College in 1996.  Prior to working as a mental health therapist, Maureen worked as a case manager for six years in community mental health.  She has worked at HopeSparks since 1997.  Maureen specializes in counseling women and teens with eating disorders.  She has also counseled victims of sexual trauma since 1999.  She utilizes several treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal counseling and she is trained in art and play therapies.

Maureen is also a certified instructor for our "Impact of Divorce on Children" seminar.
